DSR Summer Kids Camp wrap up

February marked the return of our hugely popular DSR Summer Kids Camp which took place at YMCA’s Camp Manyung in Mt Eliza from 18 - 20 of February.

This year’s camp saw DSR take nine participants, with ages ranging from 8 to 17 along with four volunteer nurses and two DSR support staff.

A highlight of all DSR Kids Camps are the activities such as tree rolling (accessible ropes course), archery, pizza making and the giant swing! We also snuck in a trip down to the beach to cool down after a day full of fun.

Our programs team caught up with Tommy to get his thoughts on this year’s camp.

[Video ID: cover photo says 'DSR Summer Camp' with a teal background and three logos at the bottom with white lines separating them, logos include DSR Kids, Disability Sport & Recreation and YMCA. The video features DSR Camp participant, Tommy, sitting at a table outdoors talking about his experience at the 2022 DSR Kids Summer Camp. The video also contains snippets of kids participating in camp activities, such as archery, tree rolling, the big swing and visiting the beach. The outro photo says 'To get involved or support a DSR camp, please visit dsr.org.au' on a teal background with three logos at the bottom with white lines separating them, logos include DSR Kids, Disability Sport & Recreation and YMCA.]

Disability Sport & Recreation would also like to say a massive thank you to our donors who’s generosity helped make this camp possible. To find out how you can support initiatives like this click here.
