Assistant Coach for the Australian team
- 2002 France World Championships
- 2004 Athens Paralympics
Born in 1955, Paul has been a long time coach, administrator and supporter of disability sports across Australia. He is known affectionately to his family and friends as ‘The Walker’ due to being the only family member that doesn’t use a wheelchair.
Paul’s dedication has seen him elected to numerous committees and boards where he administrated wheelchair basketball, rugby, road racing and the wheelchair grand prix.
His devotion to developing athletes and understanding of competitions saw him selected as the assistant coach for the Australian team for both the 2002 France World Championships and 2004 Athens Paralympics.
Paul’s commitment to sport has had a positive impact on athletes across the country and none more than his wife, Marg Angel, who was also inducted as a Life Member of Disability Sport & Recreation in 2010.
