dsr tv showcasing inclusive sport

My Sport Live (MSL) and Disability Sport & Recreation (DSR) are pleased to announce a jam-packed schedule of inclusive events being streamed via DSR TV over the coming months.

Having recently entered a partnership, DSR and MSL have combined to broadcast multiple rounds of the 2018 Robert Rose Foundation Victorian Wheelchair Football League (VWFL) as well as the 2018 Victorian Disability Sport and Recreation Awards.

A number of organisations have come on board to embrace the partnership, including Hockey Victoria, the Victorian Electric Wheelchair Sports Association (VEWSA) and AFL Victoria.

Events that have been scheduled for the remainder of 2018 include:

  • 2018 Hockey Victoria State Specialist School Competition
  • 2018 Hockey Victoria hearing impairment competition
  • Victorian Powerchair Sports League 2018/19 Round 5

A number of events for 2019 are currently in development.

A full broadcast schedule, including streaming times, can be found at DSR TV. All sporting events can be viewed live or replayed any time after the event, via DSR TV and the DSR Facebook page as well as the Facebook pages of event organisers.

“This partnership has given us a tremendous opportunity to create a platform that showcases greater inclusion in sport,’ said Richard Amon, DSR CEO.

“By sharing this content with the community in a centralised space, we hope to bring greater awareness about what’s possible for people with disability.

“The inaugural VWFL was a fantastic example of the power of sport and active recreation to change lives.

“We hope DSR TV encourages people with disability to explore new pathways to getting active and getting involved within one of the many inclusive sports that will feature on DSR TV.”
