All Abilities Workforce & Sector Support Program

Are you:

A person with disability or a carer of a person with disability living in regional Victoria?
A manager or leader of a sport and recreation facility or disability focused community organisation in regional Victoria?
Passionate about disability access and inclusion?
Keen to ensure all Victorians can participate in sport and active recreation, as participants, employees or volunteers?

We're looking for people just like you to contribute your thoughts, ideas, knowledge, experience and expertise to positively and meaningfully enhance access and inclusion in the sport and active recreation sector.

As part of the State Governments All Abilities Sport Fund – Workforce and Sector Support Program 2024-2027, Disability Sport and Recreation and Leisure Networks are excited to establish two consultation groups.

The Consultation Groups will be made up of individuals from regional and rural communities across Victoria who will collectively ensure the program’s relevance, effectiveness, and alignment with the needs of the sector and people with disability.

The groups will actively support two streams of work:

Disability Sport & Recreation will implement a Learning and Development Hub, which will see the design, development and delivery of resources, training and learning opportunities to provide guidance and expertise on best practice disability inclusion in the sport and active recreation sector.

Leisure Networks as the Regional Coordinator will establish and maintain place‑based networks to embed best practice disability inclusion and connect with people with disability, local disability networks, sporting clubs, active recreation providers and other community organisations.

The Regional Coordinator role will manage funding for co‑designed place‑based projects and activities that provide greater access to sport and active recreation for people with disability.
