The partnership expands our traditional DSR kids summer and winter camps and opens up a suite of new camps and day activities to all of our members, including teenagers and adults.
This exciting new partnership is built on the shared vision of both organisations to make sure people with disability can experience recreational adventures.
People Outdoors programs are outcomes focused and are all about fun, personal development, social connection and enjoying the great outdoors.
Richard Amon, CEO, Disability Sport & Recreation, said the exciting development will allow us to strengthen and expand our service offerings, while providing increased opportunities for volunteers of both organisations.
“People Outdoors have an excellent track record of training volunteers to provide exceptional experiences and high levels of care for camp participants.’
“We are entering this partnership with full confidence, knowing that our members are going to be well cared for under the People Outdoors programs.”
People Outdoors CEO, Pete Griffiths, said “This relationship will provide clients and members from both organisations greater access to recreational programs, outdoor experiences and events. It will substantially assist both People Outdoors and Disability Sport & Recreation to work towards our missions”.
People Outdoors day activities and camps will now be co-branded with Disability Sport & Recreation.
