Come and have fun trying out different sports to help you get healthy and active in hospital and at home!
We are working with the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service to give kids with disability who are patients of the Royal Children’s Hospital and Monash Children’s Hospital the opportunity to get active.
Each month, the kids get to try a different sport that is delivered by a State Sporting Association representative in the hospital’s rehabilitation gym. Therapists create an inclusive space so every kid can take part to their full potential.
At each session, our program coordinator explains the pathways for kids with disability to access sport in their community.

The program for young people with disability, consists of a 3-day personal development camp, followed by 12 months of individual mentoring towards your leadership goals.
The camp will use sport and recreation as a medium to identify and grow your leadership skills. Upon graduation from the program, you will be ambassadors for improving health through participation in sport and recreation.
What does the program involve?
- Prior to camp, you will complete DiSC profiling — a personal assessment tool that will help identify the leader in you!
- You will attend a 3-day camp where you will explore and develop your leadership style
- During the camp, you will practice your leadership skills using sporting, team building activities
- Plus, you will be assigned to a mentor for 12 months to support you in reaching your own personal leadership goals!
